β€’2 cups Adzuki beans, soaked overnight
β€’2 tablespoons brown sugar
β€’3 cups chicken stock
β€’1 1/2 tablespoons Siracha Chili Sauce
β€’1 teaspoon Five Spice Powder
β€’2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
β€’1 tablespoon finely minced garlic
β€’2 tablespoons minced garlic
β€’1 tablespoon finely minced or grated ginger
β€’1 pound bulk ground pork
β€’2 tablespoons kecap manis (sweet Indonesian Soy Sauce) You can substitute Hoisin Sauce
β€’Kecap Manis and Siracha sauce to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Mix together all the ingredients except the pork and canola oil.

    Add the pork and mix well.

    Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.

    Heat 2 TBL canola or peanut oil in a large pan on the stove and fry the pork mixture into crumbles until no longer pink and most of the liquid has evaporated.

    Pour the cooked pork mixture into colander to drain fat, and let cool.

    Use the seasoned sausage in any dish. Keeps for a week.

    In a medium saucepan, place the adzuki beans with the chicken stock, salt, and five spice powder. Bring to a boil and simmer gently for 20 minutes.
