A luxuriously creamy chicken dish featuring sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and parmesan in a velvety sauce that's so irresistible, it'll inspire a marriage proposal.

Main CoursesMedium

Ingredients

4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes in oil, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 01

Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour, shaking off excess.

  2. 02

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. 03

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 04

Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

  5. 05

Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

  6. 06

Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over top. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.

  7. 07

Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Review

The Caprese Salad Skewers recipe was a triumph! I prepared them for a party's barbecue and everyone loved them. The basil was so aromatic, the mozzarella so fresh, and the skewers were the perfect size and an appropriate.
